NCCC Mall of Davao
NCCC (New City Commercial Corporation) Mall of Davao is one of the large shopping malls in Davao City. It is located along McArthur Highway, Matina Davao City. For how many years, it provided its customers with the best priced quality products and services. It includes breads and pastries from Breadfactory, health and pharmaceutical products from HB1, hardware and do-it-yourself home fixtures from Hardwaremaxx, perfect film and digital pictures from Kodakan, one-stop bowling, pool, KTV spot and restobar with B3, and quality movie releases in a lively acoustic theater at NCCC Cinemas.
It was founded by Lim Tian Siu together with his spouse, KoGiok Loo. They started from a small trading business includes a buying and selling involving freshwater eels. In 1952, they started a textile business in Davao City. Unfortunately, these first two business was burned. They were able to rebuild their business in Ramon Magsaysay Avenue, Davao City. Henry, his eldest son, helped in the expansion of their business, which now include a supermarket, as well as a department store in a new location along Ramon Magsaysay where NCCC Main Magsaysay now stands.
NCCC expanded not only in Davao City but also in other areas. In 1987, another branch was built in Tagum, an hour drive from Davao City. The following year, NCCC Main Magsaysay acquired the KIN Davao building at the corner of Lizada and Ramon Magsaysay Avenue.
In 1991, they also build a business in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. Then expanded NCCC Tagum into NCCC Mall Tagum. In 2002, they launch their first express oulet, the NCX. But by far, the largest and boldest step is when NCCC opened its biggest store in December 2003, NCCC Mall of Davao, at the corner of MacArthur Highway and Ma-a Road, Davao City.
As I visited NCCC Mall of Davao, I thought that there was nothing need to be upgraded. It took me few hours just walking all over the mall. Then suddenly, I felt like I needed to go to the comfort room. I noticed that their comfort room were good yet most of its cubicles were under maintenance, like damaged door locks and smelly odor. Perhaps, it was planned to be reconstruct. Unfortunately, I went to a cubicle where I was not aware that the door’s lock was damage. In that situation, it is hard to take a pee. It is pretty minor but in a busy area, could rarely see it replaced quickly which is pretty disturbing because security is an issue or preventing someone from entering the cubicle. With this, it gives me an idea that a cubicle door could be automated with a small button inside the cubicle. The cubicle will always be open. Once you are inside, when the button is pressed, the cubicle door starts to slide horizontally and lock it automatically. It is designed to conceal itself in the side of the cubicle without using much area and it is neat. The design of the cubicle will form a semi-circle or curve. To make changes to the designs of the cubicle of comfort rooms.
I also noticed that even the cubicles were under maintenance, they should keep the air clean. If someone takes a dump, it is really possible that it will smell badly and maintenance does not often stay in the bathroom so it would not get rid of easily. It is disturbing and unhealthy to people. So for additional upgrade, this device could help to maintain the air clean. It is the Electric Nose (e-nose), a device that identifies the specific components of an odor and analyzes its chemical makeup to identify it. Originally created by Doctor Christopher Walton of Dursley, West Lincolnshire. But an upgrade version of it works as sensing smelly odors, and then sprays a counteragent for the smell automatically. It is efficient and convenient as a maintenance which insures you a smelly free bathroom to use.

Gaisano Mall of Davao
Gaisano Mall of Davao or commonly known as GMall is one of the shopping malls in Davao City. It is located along J.P. Laurel Avenue, Bajada Davao City. It has a land area of 120,061 square meters and a total area of 160,000 square meters, including the multi-level car park building. It is owned by the Cebu-based Gaisano family. The shopping malls was started by Victor Gaisano in 1982. It is the largest of more than 40 Gaisano Malls in Visayas and Mindanao and the largest in the country. It has eight floors of shops, arcades, food court, and theater with eight cinemas plus the newly 6D. The only mall in Davao City that has a Red Carpet Theater, a luxury movie theater with leather couches. It is a home to "The Peak", a little park located in the top of the mall.
In 1999, the mall opened with only 3 floors. Consist of restaurants and shopping centers. The 8-story mall houses about 500 to 600 retail stores and shops. At the topmost part of the mall is "The Peak" which is located at 6th level, a new attraction for shoppers, which was intentionally built to compete with SM Davao’s The Annex, SM Lanang Premier's Fountain Court and Abreeza’s high-end restaurants.
Gaisano malls can be found in various cities in Cebu, as well as in Bacolod City, Iligan City, Cagayan de Oro City, Lucena, Butuan, Iloilo, Roxas City, Davao City, General Santos, Tacloban, Ormoc, Digos City, Tagum City, Malaybalay City, Naga City, Valencia City, San Francisco, Agusandel Sur and Soon Bislig City and Ozamiz City.
Tens of thousands of customers shop in the mall daily. I mostly visit there because it was not that far from the school and from our house. As I visit together with my family, on their department store, we went shopping. I observed that the fitting room is pretty slim and find the room quite lack of reflection vision of the mirror which is pretty essential to see which of the clothes will look good, better, best, or worse. As a costumer, you should be meticulous on what should be the right dress or shirt or pants to buy so that your money will not be wasted. Others experience buying dresses, while they were still fitting it in the malls, they thought it looks good on them already. But when they fit it again at home, they will notice that it was not that good or too tight or too loose.  It might be pretty helpful to fit and look the desired clothes from different perspectives accurately.
I came up with an idea that not only shows different perspectives, but also makes an individual decisive of choosing clothes. Works by placing cameras in each perspective particularly the back, front, left and the right side. The mirror placed in front which is divided into 4 equal parts with each perspective. Can focus on one perspective by tapping it and can zoom in and zoom out by pinching. In case of peeking, the camera’s recording are not saved as video or a live footage like CCTV Cameras do, only plainly showing a live footage and directly inputs it to the mirror.
