Jollibee Foods
Corporation is the largest fast food chain in the country. Operating a
nationwide network of over 750 stores. The company planned to expand
internationally, currently has 80 stores outside the Philippines in the USA,
Vietnam, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Brunei.
It is founded by Tony
Tan and his family with its humble beginnings as an Ice Cream Parlor which
later grew into an emerging global brand At the heart of its success is a
family-oriented approach to personnel management, making Jollibee one of the
most admired employers in the region with an Employer of the Year Award from
the Personnel Management Association of the Philippines, Best Employer in the
Philippines Award from Hewitt Associated and a Top 20 Employer in Asia citation
from the Asian Wall Street Journal.
Its growth is due to its
delicious menu line-up like its Chickenjoy, Yumburger and Champ hamburger, and
Jollibee Spaghetti. Complemented with creative marketing programs, and
efficient manufacturing and logistics facilities. It is made possible by
well-trained teams that work in a culture of integrity and humility, fun and
family-like. Every Jollibee outlet welcomes customers with a clean and warm
in-store environment and friendly and efficient service.
Jollibee is one of
the fast food chain that mostly visited by every people every day. Families
prefer it to visit because of their foods which every children loves to eat,
and also the adults. I used to visit also in Jollibee, but I prefer taking-out
than to dine-in because of some reasons. I notice every time I have been there,
everyone is too busy or perhaps it is just a nature when you visit a fast food
chain. Sometimes being too busy, some of the cashiers got the orders wrong
which I already encountered. There was no problem when they got the orders
wrong because I understand them for being busy, but maybe they need to upgrade
on how they take their orders. Every time it happen, they still need to
approach their manager just to change the mistaken order. Their manager uses a
card, it is maybe to access something to change the recorded order. It took
also a minutes to finish, maybe an upgrade should do.
I tried dining-in together with my family, I
observed that table service is sometimes a problem especially if it takes too
long for the table to get cleaned. It is pretty disturbing to wait on a messy
table, especially when most of you were too hungry already. That is why people
prefer fast food chain because they are in a hurry. Sometimes we prefer to move
out and eat to other fast food, but then children wanted to eat there. I got a
crazy idea to solve their problem. It is an automated table cleaner, by pushing
a button, a helicopter like wiper will appear on the center of the table and
starts to clean the table neatly. It is designed to turn and slide the small
wastes in the center of the table and dispose it. It would not wipe if it
senses obstacles (Plates, Plastic Cups, Fork & etc.) you will need to
manually put it away or put it on the container intended for it. It symbolizes productivity
and self service oriented establishment.
I thought also that they does not serve water
like in a restaurant do because they are just a fast food chain. If you need to
ask for a glass of water, you need to approach someone in the counter. It is
pretty awkward to interrupt transactions just to ask for a glass of water in
this busy establishment. I experience asking a glass of water, but I should
expect only that the only thing floating on it are cubed ice. What I saw that
day was disgusting. There was a little roach floating on it. I thought that
their water was not the problem, but maybe the container of their ice. I got an idea to make our life easier and to
make their served water surely clean. It is a table water dispenser, it works
like a normal water dispenser but it is on the table. It comes with a specific
plastic cup for it to work. The plastic cup’s bottom is designed to cling on
the dispenser and have an opening to let water in. It exerts water on the
plastic cup in specific amount. Upon dismount, the plastic cup is designed to
close the opening to prevent the water from pouring out. For additional, it
should be two dispenser that exerts a cold and a hot water. Some people would
prefer to drink warm water than a cold water. To also avoid them from using
cubed ice anymore.
McDonald’s
McDonald's
was originally founded by Ray Kroc in the year 1955. He bought the franchise of
a small burger joint owned by brothers Dick and Mac McDonald. Then five years
later, he bought the exclusive rights of the name, McDonald's. They expanded to
almost 119 countries and grown to have more than 33,000 restaurants all over
the world.
In the year 1981, first McDonald's restaurant
in the Philippines was opened by George T. Yang. It has grown to more than 400
restaurants nationwide. Now handled by Kenneth S. Yang as the President and
Chief Executive Officer.
McDonald’s serves the world some of its
favorite food like the Big Mac, Big n' Tasty, Quarter Pounder with Cheese,
Cheeseburger, French Fries, Egg McMuffin, Apple Pie and Sundae. In the
Philippines, they also serve local favorites like Chicken McDo, Burger McDo and
McSpaghetti.They have a world-class standards in place for quality, service and
cleanliness. From responsibly sourcing
product ingredients, providing efficient and convenient services to maintaining
cleanliness.
McDonalds
is a fast food that also love by every people, mostly the children. As I
noticed, they have a mini playground which was the reason children love to
visit. The same with the other fast food, problems still exist. I severally
visit there and bought their McCafe, strawberry sundae and my favorite green
apple float. Every time I planned to buy something, sometimes they are out of
ingredients which makes me feel down as I was eager to buy.
The
menu is not always updated when sold out. Other costumers fall in line and ended
knowing what they want to buy are not available. Sometimes the sundae is not
cold enough and not yet good to sell which is very irritating and a waste of
time. It is better that the costumers knew what is or is not available on the
menu before-hand.
Now a
days, mobile application is the handiest since many customers have android
phones. To solve that problem, why not make a mobile application for those
customers who does not want to experience it anymore. The application is
designed as a menu, includes every foods and drinks they have, updated by
authorized person when needed be. It will show the available and not available
foods or drinks so the customers will notify before they order. It also has the
variation of branches of McDonald’s to specify. This way, the customers will
refrain from asking if the one they wanted to order is available or not which
maybe also irritating for the cashiers to answer a repeated questions.
